Concealed Carry: Awareness & Action!
Situational Awareness (SA) can be defined simply as “knowing what is going on around us.”[a] More technically, SA is “the perception of the elements in the environment within a volume of time and space, the comprehension of their meaning and the projection of their status in the near future.”[b]
This post is part of the CCW series PHXR8R’s been posting and offers answers to the question:
“How do you ‘aware’?”
We’ve read some great, informative and enlightening posts on SA. In this video, the instructor is teaching a class of CCW applicants a tactic called, “Peeling back the layers of Situational Awareness.” He addresses what we project as well as receive. How we, ourselves, are one of the elements found in the environment in which we find ourselves . . . deep. The basic lesson, be situationally aware of your own situation.
Looking forward to reading what all have to think about the topic, the observations in the video and your own experiences!
